Privacy Policy

Effective date: March 25, 2026

jumble buddy is developed by Helvella Studios. This policy describes what data we collect and how we use it.

What we collect

Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address. This is stored by Firebase Authentication (Google) and used solely to authenticate you.

Usage data. Each time you unjumble your thoughts, we record a count and timestamp server-side. This is used to enforce usage limits and is associated with your account.

Your thoughts. The thoughts you type or dictate are stored in your personal account on Google Cloud Firestore. They are protected by security rules that prevent any other user from accessing them. Helvella Studios does not access, read, or use your personal thoughts for any purpose.

Your unjumble results. When you unjumble, the organized output is saved to your account on Cloud Firestore. This includes the AI-generated title, categories, and closing line. It is protected by the same security rules as your thoughts and is only accessible to you.

How your thoughts are processed

When you tap "Unjumble," the text of your thoughts is sent to Google's Gemini API to generate a response. Only the plain text is transmitted — no device information, identifiers, or metadata. The organized result is saved to your account. Google does not use your data to train or fine-tune AI models. Google's use of this data is governed by their Generative AI Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

Third-party services

Data deletion

To delete your account and associated data, email us at privacy@jumblebuddy.com with the subject line "Delete my account." We will delete your account and all associated data, including your stored thoughts and unjumble results, within 30 days. Note: "Start over" within the app hides your current thoughts from view but does not permanently delete them — only the account deletion process above removes your data from our servers.
